You have a wonderful chance to encounter rare seabirds, the endemic King shag, a variety of other cormorants, little blue penguin, fluttering shearwater, Australasian gannet, diving petrel, white fronted tern, variable oystercatcher, reef heron, gulls seals and often dolphin. French Pass acts as a passageway for migrating Bottlenose Dolphin, Common dolphin, Dusky Dolphin, and at rare moments Orca and whales.
